Shaving My Weave...AGAIN...

You know when you say you're never going to do something ever again because it made you so depressed and nothing could make it worth it so its never going to happen, ever again...

And then you change your mind....

Yeah, that's awkward...

Life's a bitch, and sometimes it makes you rethink decisions and even though you still feel the same way you did back then, you overcome it and do it anyway...

I am talking about shaving off all my hair that I've worked so hard to grow again. Why?! I hear people ask... Are you a Lesbian? Do you want to look like a man and get called a dyke?

Well...no, but since my hair is once again the that ohmygod my hair feels like sandpaper and why is it so frizzy again? And omg whats that snapping sound emanating from my head... That ladies and gentlemen, is my hair...deciding it no longer wishes to stay attached to my scalp. I wouldn't say it was in horrendous condition (I've had worse) but it isnt that great either. I know i could do with a good haircut, but then that still leaves me with roots that need re-dying and a mass of pink hair that either needs to be bleached, or worse, dyed back to black (which i know, given 2 months, ill be fed up off and stripped, bleached and dyed all over again). Whichever way i go about it, i have to re-dye it. Pink hair isn't 'suitable' for the army. I don't see why not. I could pretend my head is a flower! So i'm going back to an ash blonde.

Haircut wise, my only options are A) Leave it how it is, and do god knows what to it, as it has to be tied up for the army, its not long enough to go in a bun without some form of hair clip, and those are not allowed =(.
Or B) Cut the whole lot off and start again, only having to put up with the growing out stage where my hair will resemble that of a grown mans mullet. That i am not looking forward too and is the only thing holding me back from shaving it off right now.

That and the fact my last hair dresser was so scissor happy i ended up scalped, literally, i mean i could actually feel the wind on the back of my scalp. I could SEE my scalp i had that little hair. If thats a little hard to picture than here; imagine when someone goes for an undercut, and they get the clippers and have no guard on it and shave the section of hair off...That was my entire head... O_O

I know its inevitable... im just not completely looking forward to it...

Just..ew...

Dont Think I Need Anymore Eyeshadows...

So my Manly 120 Palette finally came. I still laugh every time i see it, just because its called 'Manly'.. lol.

Basically i bought it from Ebay, and it came really well packaged, lots of bubble wrap and stuff and a 'Fragile' sticker. BUT somehow, either it was dropped or mishandled (i blame the postman)    quite a few of the eyeshadows were broken and i had to press them down again. Id say roughly about 15 of the 120 were broken, some only partly chipped others were almost dust. Luckily it had a plastic sheet covering it AND it was sealed air tight with plastic around each palette so the powders didn't get everywhere. If you are planning on buying a palette offline, just know that the chances if it arriving in one piece are pretty slim. Still, don't let that put you off. They can always be re-pressed.

Okay so first off, it came in a really nice box:

This was undamaged, and just looked really nice. Inside the palette was wrapped in bubble wrap. When i took it out i was pleasantly surprised to see it was...

SHINY!!!! The pictures id seen before showed it to be matte so i was like yay! Its quite a light palette too which im happy about. The casing seems sturdy enough, so it should be ok to put in your bag and travel with, without having to worry about it cracking or anything.

Inside were two palette, on top of one another...

Wow I'm really bad at taking pictures. Well these are the colors, they're a lot more intense in reality, there's a mix of matte and shimmer shades as well as quite a few neon shades (which i love) and a row of neutrals.
Almost all of the colors go on really well, and are highly pigmented there probably about 5 or so that would need a bit more pigment for it to go on as well BUT saying that, they all look really nice. Some people have said that these eyeshadows are quite chalky, i don't really think there are, i think its just that when you swatch a color you tend to pick up more on your finger than you would on a brush and so you get more 'loose powdery bits' on your hand or in the pan.

I purchased this for £8.99 PLUS £3.89 for P&P. Its usually £12.99 plus the P&P but there was a 'make an offer' thingy on ebay so i put in £8.99 and it was excepted! Yay me! (kinda wish id gone lower first to see if id got it cheaper. Darn it). For 120 colors, i can complain. i highly doubt ill be buying anymore eyeshadows, after all, if i cant create a look with 120 shadows, then i doubt buying more would help. =P

So that's that. I'm happy with it, my friend who has the MAC 120 palette was seriously annoyed because this looked and performs pretty much the same as the MAC palette. Haha.

And here is a look i created with it... do ignore the purple eyebrows, i got bored so experimented with my face.... you can tell i like color... ;)

Gotta Love Make Up ;)

S'up

So ive come to realize that i have an unhealthy obsession with make up. Even though i don't really wear any make up (eyeliner and mascara IF i can be bothered) i just really like to have these things. I just go out and buy random bits and pieces that will never be used and just add it to the ever growing collection of 'things that are supposed to make me beautiful'.

So since im a poor student i cant afford MAC or Bobbi Brown or Nars, so i usually stick to drugstore brands. Ive recently discovered MUA which let me tell you, has the best smelling lipsticks ever!.

Okay let me start with Brushes. I didn't have any proper brushes until, erm, 6 months ago? There was no way i was gonna buy each brush individually, it would have cost way too much, so i decided to get a set. Because i don't know much about make up, i just went for a set that had a lot in and looked pretty.

Okay this wonderful set here is the: Fraulein 38 : 31 Piece Professional Brush Set. These brushes are amazing. There made of 99% animal hair and I've had no shedding with any of them. Some people have complained that the big fluffy fan brush thing (the white/black one at the top) sheds a lot, but i found it was fine for me. Plus you get a nice silver case to keep them in also marked with Fraulein 38! There's pretty much every brush you'll ever need here and more, so its well worth it. Cost? Well you can buy them off the official website: www.fraulein38.com. Or do what i did and visit ebay. I got mine from a seller on ebay for just £15.99!! Even if your skeptical about the quality, for £15.99 you cant go wrong! There just so soft!
They're easy to apply make up with and i cant see a single fault with them. Even my friend (she was trained by MAC people) loves them, she obviously mainly has MAC brushes and always comes to use mine instead of her own, so i guess that must mean they're good!

Let me show you my top 3 favorite brushes. I love all of them but these 3 are the ones i use every day. Okay so first off:

Do excuse the quality, i have really bad lighting in my cell at uni. Okay so on the left is the Large Fluffy Powder/Blush Brush. This is really big (cant really tell in this photo damn it) and soft and id say it was better for applying translucent powder or setting powder and whatnot and probably not blush just as its so big it would mean you putting blush all over your jaw too. There are 2 other smaller blush brushes included and also a contour brush so id use this one just for powders.

The one next to it on the right is the Eyeliner Brush. Wow is all i can say. Up until this point id been using the felt tip eyeliner pens, or liquid eyeliner and i had experimented with gel eyeliner but with an angled eyeliner brush and whilst this worked fine, i found due to the thickness of angled brushes, the line i created was bit too heavy. After using this i will never go back. I rarely use any other type of eyeliner apart from gel now as this brush makes it so easy to apply and get that 'perfect' wing shape! Its got a tapered end which means that it allows you to create a very thin detailed line with minimal effort! Gotta love that, right?!

Last but certainly not least its got to be my favourite:

This is a Retractable Lip Brush that some make up gurus on youtube have said to be similar and even a dupe for the MAC 318 lip brush! Yay! So as you can see its a tapered lip small lip brush that you can simply pop into its cover and fit it into your purse for on the go touch ups! I love this! It allows me to apply my lipstick perfectly and it just the right shape and thickness. When i first saw it i was like, what the hell is that?! (I did say i know nothing about makeup)  and then discovered what it was and have been in love ever since.

Id seriously recommend this to anyone wanting to get into make up, who wants to experiment and wants a decent set of high quality brushes at a very low cost. Who needs MAC? Pfft... (im lying, id love MAC im just far too poor)

Okay so next time im going to be writing about the Manly 120 palette which i just HAD  to buy...just because its make up and its called Manly!!! LOL!

Sneaky peak ;)

Keep a weather eye on the horizon...

I am that bored...

Since i cant sleep i decided maybe to do a bit more about myself...

In saying that i mainly mean my hair history...

Ive had a colorful time regarding my weave (yes i refer to my real hair as a weave as its been bleach and dyed that many times it no longer feel like it actually my hair, more like a wig ive glued to my scalp). So basic hair history 101...

It started in year 8..could be 9.. i was 13? Maybe.. i don't remember... well anyway this post does have a point to it. Im contemplating another pixie cut on account of that ill be joining the military and would prefer shorter more manageable hair that doesn't need hair straighteners and what not...

Lets see if i can figure out how to do this...

Okay so normal hair! Boring and brown.  It HAD to go.

Okay so this my normal hair..kind of its dyed here but you cant really see it. O_O
Okay so from that i went blonde. I..didnt like it so much.

Woo! Black hair and i had it  cut!

From here it went to very long and dark, and then decided i wanted  blue hair. I didnt do my research, bleached my hair 3 times, almost fried it completely, put on the blue..and it went green. So i dyed over it in dark brown, which went back to black. Bummer.

So then after that i left it for a while then decided to have a haircut!

So this was it. It was an asymmetrical cut and  longer on top so i could have it up in a mohawk if i wanted to! Id just like to point out i had this cut WAY before Rhianna did!! Of course then everyone followed her trend and decided to lop of there hair and so i felt very boring and wanted to change it. So you can guess what i did. Out came the bleach again and in one day i did a color stripper, a box of 40%vol Bleach and an XXL Absolute Platinum. Needless to say... my hair was a bit... ew. Plus the lengths of my hair had re-oxidized after the color stripper because i hadnt washed it 3 times and so when i put the dye on it just didnt work. So my roots were a beautiful white, whilst the rest was a wonderful orange.

And i mean ORANGE. So i did what any other rational person would do and i shaved my head! I had about half an inch of hair left? So i let it grow for a month and then had this picture taken.

It was a nice blonde pixie cut although my roots were coming through. But i kinda liked it like that. But being me i got bored and dyed it...

PINK!! I loved it. My head was like a floating cloud of candyfloss. But as it started to grow out and i got bored i had it re-cut. This time, the hairdresser BUTCHERED my hair. She gave me a short back and sides and left me with a load of hair on top so i looked like a man. I dyed it XXL blue black and waited for it to grow out. Then it went to...

PURPLE!!! For the second time.. i had it purple in-between the blonde and black stage, but i couldnt be bothered to find them pictures. I didn't like it, and purple fades UGLY. It goes like a washed out grey! It looks permanently dirty because of the color, so i redid the blonde, waited a month then went...

BLUE!! I FINALLY GOT MY BLUE!!
Which i kept for months changing the colors underneath every now and again.

Then i did what i never said id do again...

I went back to black :( I loved it though. Played around with extensions and then got another hair cut.

Yeah, no idea to turn that 2nd one around..or how to delete it. Oh well!
So you'd think that would be it.. but nope, theres another change... currently my hair is...

PINK!!! And now im just contemplating having a pixie cut. Again. It would be good for my hair after all. Plus i was thinking. Color wise? Maybe a reddish brown? Or blonde? Or even a chocolate brown? Who knows...

Its no wonder my hairs dry after all this O_O

(ps i will be doing a post on haircare and products i use because YES i do no how to do it properly and with minimal damage ...i just dont =P)
 TTYL xoxo

Past, Present and the Oh So Dismal Future

Hi Internet! Oh and hi to any possible humans who actually stumble across this and read it..

Well, i'm basically writing to on here to try get my thoughts straight, decide what to so with my life and see if it makes any sense what so ever. My mom (who's also a qualified therapist...yay me ¬_¬ ) advised it would be good to keep a diary, but, my handwriting's really bad and i cant even read what I've written half the time so that plan was a fail. So i guess this is the next best thing.

Okay so... I had a life plan. It was a brilliant, fool proof, (and possibly stolen from a book) life plan and it was going to make me rich and happy and set up for the future with minimal effort. The plan itself consisted of, going to Las Vegas, into the Bellagio Casino armed with nothing but a revealing 'Little Black Dress' and a very good push up bra. From here i would descend oh so gracefully into the 'high rollers' area (basically full of rich men with nothing else to spend there moolah on) find one, dazzle him with my charm, wit and massive boobage (thanks push up bra) seduce him, get married and live happily ever after...

This to me still seems perfectly rational and workable. The only flaw it has is age restrictions. You have to be 21 to gamble in a Las Vegas Casino. O_O Which means my plan is screwed. Being only 2 months away from my 19th birthday, i've still got a long way to go until then. Which means im stuck on what to do in the meantime.

So far i got into University... and i hate it. I am fed up of staring at books ! I chose the wrong course for starters. Forensic Science. At first i was like yay! I get to learn about anatomy and crime and shizz... in reality, its just maths, chemistry and biology..only at university level, and theres probably about 1 lecture a week on actual forensics, other than that, its all totally unrelated and crappy. So i decided maybe to switch, im good at law, got a A* in my Alevels thought about it and then thought.. nah. Its not so much the subject, more that, im not motivated to get up and actually go to lectures. So in all, im quitting uni.

My plan now? Im joining the Military. Ill try the RAF first. My dad thinks its more 'smart' and nicer uniform and i have to admit, i do prefer the hats to the regular army but im not fussed. I liket he sound of the regular army just as much.

So im just going to go ahead and do that, train, get fit and shave my hair off again after just getting back to a nice length. (FML).
